Along with pod taxi and metro, tram and city bus service will also be operated in residential and industrial sectors of Yamuna Authority (YEIDA). The authorities have started studying several cities to start tram and city bus service.
With this, people from every block of the sector will be able to reach their destination without any hassle at low cost. City bus service will connect the blocks of each sector while trams will be run on every 30 meter wide road. Apart from this, DPR has already been made for pod taxi in residential sectors apart from Film City and Industrial.
Yida’s residential sector-18 and 20 both are situated in a radius of about 10-10 km. People will have to spend several hundred rupees to reach home from Yamuna Expressway and main road. Apart from this, the Yamuna Authority has allotted land to more than three thousand companies. While some companies have also started production here.
About 2.5 to 3 lakh people will get employment in different companies when companies start in Yida area. In view of the poor transport system of Noida and Greater Noida, the Yamuna Authority has already started planning to provide better connectivity.
According to the officials, DPR has been made regarding pod taxi in Yida area. Its proposal has been sent to the government. Pod taxi plans are yet to be studied in a few more countries. After that the work of taking pod taxis to the sectors will be started.
On the other hand, in view of the investment received from the Global Investor Summit and for the rapid settlement of the city, Yeida is planning to run not only city bus service but also tram. If it will be run on every 30 meter wide road in every sector, then there is a plan to extend the city bus service to every block of residential and industrial sector.
