Electric bus will be available on Dilshad Garden-Mussoorie route in 25 minutes
Ghaziabad. Electric buses will now be available on Dilshad Garden-Mussoorie route every 25 minutes. The SPV set up for city bus operation has increased the number of buses on this route from five to nine. Now passengers will not have to wait long to travel in these buses.
Presently 29 electric buses are being operated in the city. These buses were being run on four routes. Of these, 10 buses were being run from Old Bus Stand to Loni, 10 from Kaushambi to Modinagar, five from Dilshad Garden to Mussoorie and four from Old Bus Stand to Bhajanpura. Due to very less number of passengers on the Bhajanpura route, the SPV has terminated this route. Four electric buses running on this route have been diverted to Dilshad Garden-Mussoorie route.
Electric Bus Depot Incharge PR Bilwaria said that now these buses are being operated on three routes in the city and the number of buses has become almost equal on all three routes. He says that after the increase in the number of buses, the number of passengers has also increased on the Dilshad Garden-Mussoorie route. Due to the increase in the frequency of buses on the route, now passengers are getting electric buses every 20 to 25 minutes.
Best response on Loni Route
Electric buses are getting the best response on the Old Bus Adda-Loni route. There were autos and few private buses in the name of public transport on this route. Now people are preferring to travel in electric buses instead of autos. In the scorching heat, these air-conditioned buses are making the journey of the people pleasant. People are also waiting for these buses, but are not traveling in autos.
