Now new avenues of employment are going to open for the students through drone technology. The Center of Excellence in Drone Technology is going to start at Gautam Buddha University (GBU) by the end of this month.
In this, apart from the students of GBU, people coming from outside will also be able to learn drone manufacturing and designing, drone repairing and becoming a drone pilot through short term courses. The exercise for this has started. For this the University has signed a contract for Instruments Automation Surveillance Communication with the Skill Set Council of National Skill Division Corporation, Government of India. Apart from this, an agreement has also been signed with Omni Present Robotech, a company providing drone designing and pilot training. This center and course will start in the first week of May.
There will be short term courses of two to six months
The Center of Excellence in Drone Technology will have three types of courses, which will be Drone Designing and Manufacturing, Drone Technician and Drone Pilot Training. All these courses will be of two to six months duration. These special courses will be available at very low fees for the students of the university. The youth coming from outside will also be charged less fees in the initial phase.
15 people started pilot training
About 150 students of the Department of Information Technology (ICT) of the University are eager to do this short term course. At the same time, 15 teachers and students are being trained even before setting up the Center of Excellence in Drone Technology. After the establishment of the center, these teachers and students will also help in the training.
Drones will be used in many areas in the coming times. There will be a need for trained youth for this. In view of this, short term courses will be started for the youth and students in the university for drone designing and manufacturing, pilot training and training of drone technicians. For this, Center of Excellence in Drone Technology is being started.
